Highly recommended, Margolis Method has been foundational to our BA performance program at the University of Minnesota for the past 20 years and the online training is specific, comprehensive, elegantly scaffolded and applies to any performance genre, including devised performance.

Building on nine years of running Margolis Method Online Learning platforms, our live online residencies and workshops offer dynamic, on-your-feet experiences that feel as close to being in the studio as possible.

As an actor I am always looking to deepen my facility with authentic, dynamic expression. In one weeklong virtual intensive, the Margolis Method connected me with a deeper sense of the physiological impulses which connect thought, emotion, and instinct to communication.
— Matt Schwader, Avila University, Director of Performance Studies

How Our Virtual Residencies Come to Life:

IMG_6545.jpg
  • Our studio is large enough for theatrical demonstrations of exercises and improvisations.

  • We've set up mini-studios within our studio that allow us to have students work with faculty members in smaller groups in breakout rooms for more personal feedback.

  • We can also integrate the Margolis Method Online Network, with its wide variety of video lessons on such theatrical themes as  Building the Actor’s Instrument, to working with objects or infusing space with poetic meaning.

  • Our Virtual Textbook Plan can also be integrated.

Highly recommend these folks, not only for moving classes online, but in general! Kari and crew are awesome, and the skill set can be used for individual work, partner work, and any genre. It includes a methodology that is helpful for movement, voice and general acting training! I’m going to use it for Shakespeare and Acting in the Classics. Kari and Angela will bend over backwards to help you. They are awesome humans and artists!
— Carin J. Heidelbach, CSU Stanislaus
